Acceptable Use Policy
1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all use of the WeDisplay digital signage platform, including our marketing websites, dashboard, applications, player software, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), and to all content, media, data, and materials that you or anyone using your account uploads, stores, streams, schedules, embeds, or displays through the Service ("Customer Content"). This AUP supplements, and is incorporated by reference into, our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms used but not defined here have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Service.
You are solely and exclusively responsible for your Customer Content and for all activity that occurs under your account, including activity by your employees, contractors, guest presenters, and anyone else you permit to access your account or add content to your screens. If you allow a third party to use your account or contribute content, you remain responsible for ensuring that their use complies with this AUP, and a violation by that third party is treated as your violation.
2. Prohibited Content
You may not upload, store, stream, schedule, embed, or display, and may not use the Service to transmit or make available, any Customer Content that:
- is illegal under applicable law, or promotes, facilitates, or provides instructions for illegal activity;
- infringes or misappropriates the intellectual-property rights of any person or entity, or that you do not have the necessary licenses, permissions, or other rights to display — including music, video, images, photographs, fonts, trademarks, logos, broadcast content, and other copyrighted or proprietary material;
- is defamatory, libelous, or slanderous, or that makes false statements of fact that harm the reputation of any person or entity;
- is obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit;
- is hateful, harassing, or threatening, or that incites, promotes, or glorifies violence, discrimination, or hatred against any individual or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other protected characteristic;
- invades another person's privacy, or discloses another person's personal, private, or confidential information (including images, contact details, financial information, or government identifiers) without that person's consent;
- is deceptive, fraudulent, or misleading, including scams, phishing content, fake giveaways, or advertising that misrepresents a product, price, availability, or offer;
- contains malware, viruses, or other code or content designed to damage, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any device, network, or system; or
- otherwise violates any applicable law or regulation, including laws and regulations governing advertising, consumer protection, broadcasting, gambling, or the sale or promotion of regulated, restricted, or age-gated products or services.
This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. Content that is lawful in one jurisdiction may still violate this AUP if it is unlawful, harmful, or objectionable in a jurisdiction where your screens are displayed, and you are responsible for ensuring your Customer Content complies with the laws and norms of every location where it is shown.
3. Prohibited Conduct
In addition to the content restrictions above, you may not use the Service to:
- circumvent, disable, probe, or attempt to defeat any security, authentication, access-control, or rate-limiting feature of the Service;
- gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, to another organization's account, screens, sources, or data, or to any system, network, or account that you are not authorized to access;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or otherwise extract data from the Service through automated means, except through APIs and integrations we expressly provide for that purpose and in accordance with their documented limits;
- generate excessive load on the Service, attempt a denial-of-service attack, or otherwise abuse shared infrastructure, storage, or bandwidth in a manner that degrades the Service for other customers;
- impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person, entity, or organization;
- send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or other unsolicited communications using the Service or infrastructure made available through it;
- resell, sublicense, rent, or lease access to the Service to a third party except as expressly permitted under your plan or a separate written agreement with us; or
- interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, or with other customers' access to or use of the Service.
4. Enforcement
We are under no obligation to monitor Customer Content or your use of the Service, and we do not pre-screen, review, or endorse Customer Content before it is displayed. As explained in the Terms of Service, WeDisplay is a neutral technology platform, and we are not responsible for Customer Content or for how you or anyone using your account chooses to use the Service.
We may, but are under no obligation to, investigate suspected violations of this AUP, whether reported to us or identified by us. If we believe, in our sole discretion, that Customer Content or conduct violates this AUP, the Terms of Service, or applicable law, or may expose us, our customers, or any third party to harm or liability, we may take any action we consider appropriate, without prior notice, including refusing, disabling, removing, or restricting access to the Customer Content in question, and suspending or terminating the account or access of the person or organization responsible. We may also preserve Customer Content and account information, and disclose it to law enforcement, regulators, or other third parties, where we believe in good faith that doing so is required by law or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of WeDisplay, our customers, or others.
Our decision not to act on a particular violation does not waive our right to act on that violation, or any other violation, at a later time, and we reserve all rights and remedies available to us under the Terms of Service and applicable law.
5. Reporting Abuse
If you become aware of Customer Content or conduct that you believe violates this AUP or is illegal, please report it to [email protected], including as much detail as possible so we can locate and evaluate the content in question (such as the organization, screen, or account involved, and a description of the issue). If your report concerns copyright infringement, please follow the copyright notice process set out in the Terms of Service instead, so that it can be handled under that process.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, emerging risks, or applicable law. If we make a material change, we will provide reasonable advance notice by email, an in-app notice, or by posting the updated AUP on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Service after the updated AUP takes effect constitutes your acceptance of it. If you do not agree to the updated AUP, you must stop using the Service.
